The Peluso P84 - New from Peluso Microphone Lab
Pro Audio Boutique's thoughts: So John Peluso has recreated another great classic microphone.  The Peluso P 84 small diaphragm condenser microphone is modeled after the classic Neumann KM 84.  A quick history lesson...The original Neumann KM84 was first introduced in 1966 and was the first microphone to feature "phantom power" technology.  The Neumann KM84 has always been a favorite amongst many engineers and due to its high SPL can be placed in front of very loud sources.  Obviously, John Peluso has has a great career of recreating many of Neumann's classic microphones but with modern technology and reliability.  The Peluso P 84 is no different.  You will find the Peluso P 84 will work wonders on recording most any acoustic instrument but do not be afraid to use it as a second microphone along with a Shure SM57 on a snare.  It really helps add the "Crack" you need to bring your snare tracks to life.  Please Contact Us with any questions you have. Available in Single or Matched Pairs

Peluso P 84 Small Diaphragm Condenser Microphone Description:

The Peluso P-84 is a small diaphragm 48v phantom powered microphone with an exceptionally flat frequency response curve.  With its transformer output and excellent cardioid pattern characteristics across the full frequency spectrum, our P-84 is remarkably authentic to its long discontinued inspiration, the Neumann KM-84.  Improved in low frequency responsiveness and high sound pressure level capacity the P-84 is one of most significant achievements yet. The P-84 is available in stereo matched pairs as the P-84 SK.

Microphone kit comes as a complete system including:

P-84 Microphone in a Wood Box, Omni and Cardioid Capsules with the extra capsule in a wood box, a Shock Mount and a hard mount, all packed in a Flight Case.
