Solid State Logic G Comp is a 500 Series G-series Stereo Bus Compressor with Six Ratio Settings and Five Release Settings. As most engineers know, the SSL G Buss compressor is an iconic 2 Bus compressor used for adding the "glue" needed to keep your mix inline. Some people prefer to add it at the end of the mix but I really find it useful to engage it from the start of a mix.  To me, the SSL G Comp compressor is one of the most versatile 2 Buss compressors out on the market even though it's been around for decades and used on countless records.  It gives you that punchy, clear sound, perfect for really most types of music.  Whether you are working on pop, rock, hip hop and even acoustic and bluegrass.  It really adds a tightness and snap and keeps your tracks together.  A must have for any serious engineer.  And now, it is available in 500 series format.  All you need is two open spaces on your favorite 500 Series rack and you are ready to go!

      For Gear Heads:

Often imitated but never equaled, the centre section compressor from the 1980's G-Series analogue console is an audio production legend. It is a simple unit with a simple purpose; it makes complete mixes sound bigger, with more power, punch and drive. It brings cohesion and strength to your mix without compromising clarity. To this day it remains a key element of the SSL sound and has featured on countless classic recordings. The availability of the Stereo Bus Compressor in a module for the 500 format makes this essential audio production tool available to users of the popular API 500 format modular rack platform.
